FAQ

How Can We Help?

How do I book my first cleaning?

Use our online booking page to choose a service, see your price and pick a date. Prefer to talk it through? Call or text (475) 348-8180 and we'll help you get set up.

Do I need to supply my own cleaning supplies or vacuum?

No. You are not required to provide any supplies, cleaning products or a vacuum. Our cleaners bring the professional-grade products and equipment needed to complete the job. If there's a product you'd like us to use in your home, just leave it out and let us know.

Who will be cleaning my home?

Members of our own team, each handpicked, background-checked, insured and trained to our standards by our lead cleaners. We only hire people we would trust in our own home, and you'll see familiar faces visit after visit.

Are you insured?

Absolutely. We're licensed and fully insured for all the work we do, so you can have peace of mind while we're in your home. Want to see our certificate of insurance? Just ask.

What happens if I'm not happy with my cleaning?

Mistakes happen and cleaning can be subjective, but we always make it right. We offer a 24-hour cleaning guarantee: if something isn't right, let us know within 24 hours of your service and we'll send a cleaner back to take care of it, free of charge.

The guarantee applies when you, or someone you choose, does a quick walk-through with the cleaner at the end of the visit. That walk-through lets us address anything on the spot and make sure the clean meets your expectations.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens! We just ask for at least 1 full business day's notice to cancel or change an upcoming appointment, and there's no fee when you do.

With less than 1 full business day's notice, there is a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel on the day of service, or we can't get into your home, or there's no water or electricity, or there's a rodent or insect infestation, the full cost of the appointment is charged.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Never. You're not required to sign a contract. We do have service terms and conditions, and the cancellation policy above.

What recurring cleaning options do you offer?

We offer weekly, every-other-week and every-4-weeks cleaning, and recurring plans cost less per visit than one-time cleans. We send the same team each time, so you always know who is in your home.

How many cleaners will be in my home?

For first-time deep cleans and move-in/move-out cleans, we usually send a team of two so there's enough elbow grease to get through everything in a reasonable time. Recurring cleans are typically handled by one cleaner.

What's the difference between a routine clean, a deep clean and a move-in/move-out clean?

Great question! Routine cleans are for recurring customers: we know your home, it's already had a deep clean, and we keep it in tip-top shape.

Deep cleans are for first-time and one-time visits, the nitty-gritty clean. Along with everything in a routine clean, we wipe down fan blades, doors and door frames, window sills and frames, baseboards and cabinet fronts.

Move-in/move-out cleans are for empty homes. They include everything in a deep clean, plus the insides of all cabinets, drawers and closets. See our cleaning checklist for the room-by-room details.

How is pricing determined?

Your price is based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the square footage, and the service you choose. The condition of the home, pets and any extras are factored in too, and recurring plans get a discount. You'll see your price when you book online, or call or text (475) 348-8180 for a free quote.

How can I prepare for my cleaning appointment?

The best thing you can do is keep clutter to a minimum. Our cleaners need access to surfaces to clean them, and floors should be clear of items and debris.

If you're home when we arrive, take a minute to go over the plan with your cleaner. It also helps to give the cleaner space: children, pets and other adults in the work area can slow the job down, and vacuum cords and cleaning products make it safer to keep some distance. Questions about getting ready? Just reach out.

Do I need to tidy up before you arrive?

When it comes to our checklist, nope, that's our job! It's a big help if you clear the sink of dishes and pick up clothes and toys from the floor, so we can get to all the cracks and crevices that need attention.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

No. Many clients leave a key or door code for us, and you can add entry instructions when you book. To use our 24-hour guarantee, you or someone you choose should do a quick walk-through with the cleaner at the end of the visit.

Can I add extra services to my booking?

Yes! When you book you can add: inside the fridge, inside the oven, inside the cabinets, inside the dishwasher, interior windows, and wet-wiping window blinds.

If your home hasn't been professionally cleaned in the last 6 months, a Heavy Duty add-on is required, since the first visit takes extra time and care.

Why don't you charge by the hour?

Our cleaners are paid by the job to complete the checklist for the level of service you choose. One person might take 2 hours on a job while another takes 3. We've tried both models and found a flat rate is the fairest way to charge: the cleaner knows exactly what they're being paid, and you know exactly what the clean will cost. No surprises!

Why do you charge the rates you do?

We put a lot of time into researching fair market prices for professional cleaning in our area, and our rates are in line with other professional companies.

Professional cleaning is physically demanding work that takes years of experience to do well. Insurance, professional-grade products and equipment, and travel all go into every visit. We believe in paying our cleaners a fair wage, because a fairly paid cleaner is a happier cleaner who does a better job. Happy cleaners = happy clients.

My cleaner arrived and said the job may cost more. Why?

We price most jobs from the details you give us when you book, before we've seen the home. Usually that's accurate. Sometimes extra work only becomes clear once the cleaner arrives: extra trash removal on a move-out, heavy pet hair, more appliances than expected, and so on. We'll always talk with you about the extra work and any added cost before doing it.

Are you pet friendly?

We are! If your pet will be loose when we arrive or leave, please let us know if they're likely to slip out, or keep them in a room while we bring equipment in and out. It's also easier and quicker to clean without furry friends underfoot.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure online booking system.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe through our booking system, and we never see or store your full card number.

Will my old fixtures and appliances look like new?

Our cleaners do their best to remove build-up on every surface. Some build-up can't be removed without damaging the surface, so older fixtures and appliances may not come back to a like-new condition. We'll remove as much as we safely can while still giving the rest of your home the attention it needs.

Is there anything the cleaners won't do?

A few things, mostly for safety:

  • Heavy items: we don't lift anything over 30 lbs. Moving dining chairs or small ottomans to clean under them is fine. If you move heavier furniture or appliances, we're happy to clean underneath.
  • Height: we use a 2-step stool at most, so the tops of standard kitchen cabinets are usually the limit, and some light fixtures may be out of reach.
  • Clutter: cluttered areas and storage spots (under beds, on top of cabinets) are cleaned around as best we can.
  • Outdoor areas: patios, decks, rough concrete, unfinished basements, garages and exterior windows aren't part of a home clean.
  • Pet messes and bodily fluids: litter boxes, pet accidents, blood, vomit, overflowed toilets and similar messes need specialized cleaning beyond a residential service.
  • Mold: small amounts of mildew are fine. Rooms heavily affected by mold, or homes with a mold problem, we can't clean.
  • Bugs: we can't do post-fumigation cleans. Any infestation or fumigation needs to be fully finished before we come in.
  • Fireplaces: soot and ash damage our vacuums, but we're happy to clean the hearth in front.
  • Laundry: we don't wash, dry or iron clothes.
  • Also not included: inside light fixtures, out-of-reach fixtures, window screens, cloth blinds or drapes, inside the washer or dryer, inside heat registers, under the range hood fan, or anything that needs taking apart.
